Bill Nelson retirement

Natrona County Public Library will hold an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 2-4 p.m. to honor outgoing director Bill Nelson, who is retiring after 16 years of service to the library. The event will be held at the main library, 307 E. 2nd St. in Casper.

 

Treva Higgins is the new Branch Manager at the Fremont County Library System-Dubois Branch. She received her MLS from University of North Texas and is a University of Idaho alumna.  Her library experience includes Branch Management at Latah County Library District and circulation at the University of Idaho Law Library.

In her spare time she looks forward to exploring Wyoming with her camera in hand.

The Bloodheart

 

Steve Rzasa at Johnson County Library has just published a new book, The Bloodheart. It is his seventh novel to date. Steve works in technical services at the library. He will be one of the presenters at the “What the Tech is That?” session at this year’s Wyoming Library Association conference.

 

Krisene Watson is the new Campbell County Public Library System Administrative Services Manager. She started her position in June taking over for Rebecca Lehman who moved to Reference Services Librarian. Krisene received her MLIS from Brigham Young University and has worked most recently for ONEOK. She brings to the library a varied background of experience in technical support, quality assurance, teaching, HR, payroll, and librarianship.

Nancy Rhoads of Cheyenne died in June at the age of 80. Nancy worked for many years at the Wyoming State Library. Her obituary was in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.
