Libraries Ready to Code
DEADLINE: November 8, 2018
The American Library Association will award $500 mini-grants to school and public libraries that facilitate a program for youth during Computer Science Education Week, December 3-9, 2018, using Google’s CS First Hour of Code activity. This year, the Scratch-based activity encourages creativity in storytelling so youth can incorporate their own interests while learning to code.

EBSCO Excellence in Small and/or Rural Public Library Service Award
DEADLINE: December 10, 2018
The EBSCO Excellence in Small and/or Rural Public Library Service Award is an annual recognition bestowed upon a public library serving a population of 10,000 or less in a manner demonstrating excellent service to its community as exemplified by an overall service program or a special program of significant accomplishment. The award comes with a plaque and a
$1,000 cash award.

Ezra Jack Keats Mini-Grant Program
DEADLINE: March 31, 2019
The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, dedicated to supporting arts and literacy programs in public schools, preschools, and libraries across the country, is putting out its annual call for proposals. Approximately 70 grants, up to $500 each, will be awarded to teachers and librarians in public schools and libraries whose proposals reflect imagination and a desire to make learning fun.

NARCAN® Nasal Spray Public Libraries Program

Public libraries in the United States are eligible to receive 1 carton of NARCAN® Nasal Spray (2 doses) along with educational materials to facilitate Opioid Awareness Training for the community.

Awesome Foundation Grants
DEADLINE: Ongoing
Have a crazy brilliant idea that needs funding? The Awesome Foundation awards $1,000 grants every month. Awesome projects include initiatives in a wide range of areas including arts, technology, community development, and more. Many awesome projects are novel or experimental, and evoke surprise and delight.
