Upcoming Webinar: Get Grants from the NNLM

May 7, 2019

Could your library use more money for programming, community engagement, staff professional development, technology upgrades, or other needs. Of course it could! A few days ago, we shared some funding opportunities from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM). Now you can learn more about the grants and how to apply in a free webinar from the NNLM MidContinental Region.

Show Me the $$$! How Your Library Can Obtain Funding from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine,” will be held this Thursday, May 9 from 1-2 p.m. MDT. Join Chris Pryor, Library Engagement and Missouri Coordinator, and John Bramble, Associate Director from the NNLM MidContinental Regional Medical Library, for a discussion of just how easy it is to apply for all of the great funding opportunities available during this year’s grant cycle. A question and answer period will be included.

Register for the webinar.

For inspiration read how one library tackled community needs with help from the NNLM.  A Colorado library used a NNLM MCR grant to support cooking demonstrations, discussions with kids about the digestive system, classes on nutrition, and a program for parents on emotional wellbeing.

The deadline for grant applications is May 31, 2019. See the full list of opportunities.
