Snapshot Day celebrates what libraries do for their communities — and today, they got a big boost! It’s a big day at the Wyoming State Library for putting American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to work.
Today, the WSL spent more than $600,000 in funds for e-books and e-audiobooks for OverDrive and to support the WYLD Network by covering member fees, resource sharing credits, and consortium fees.
ARPA funds received by the Wyoming State Library through the Institute of Museum and Library Services are intended to help libraries respond to and recover from the pandemic. Before choosing which items to fund, the State Library gathered input from the Wyoming library community on how to use these federal funds for the greatest statewide benefit.
