GoWYLD.net eContent, Database Use for Just One Day

Nov 18, 2015

Among the many things we gathered for last month’s Wyoming Snapshot Day, October 20, were the use of the GoWYLD electronic resources. These are provided to to every Wyoming resident through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the Institute of Musuem of Library Services (IMLS). Yesterday, we had exciting news about a partnership with the University of Wyoming that increases the amount of digital content available.

e-Content
On just that one day, October 20, there were 739 electronic items checked out:

  • 3M Cloud eBooks: 264 checkouts, 61 holds placed, 206 active users.
  • OneClick Digital Audiobooks: 319 checkouts. Most popular was Below Zero by C.J. Box.
  • Freading: 12 users downloaded 27 ebooks.
  • Zinio: 129 magazine checkouts. Readers Digest was most popular.

Databases
Multiple database resources are available to every Wyoming resident through GoWYLD.net. Here is a sampling of how much they were used on just one day on Snapshot Day:

  • Britannica Online – 515 total sessions
  • Chiltons AutoRepair – 13 searches
