The Library of Congress celebrated its 224th birthday yesterday!
Founded in 1800, the LOC is the United States’ oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the library and research service of the U.S. Congress. It is the largest library in the United States, as well as the second largest library in the world.
Several of our Wyoming library professionals had the opportunity to visit this beautiful library in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. It is a truly magnificent structure and worth a visit if you are ever in the D.C. area.
