Roxanne Everhard joined the Fremont County School District #2 this school year as the Dubois school librarian.

She brings 30 years of experience in education to this position and served as a school librarian in Gillette, Basin, and Greybull prior to accepting this position. Roxanne has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Middle School from Black Hills State University, a master’s degree in Educational Technology from Dakota State University, and a Library Media endorsement from Montana State University in Billings. She enjoys working with the students and staff in Dubois and says they have all been very welcoming and helpful during her first semester there.

“I am so excited to be a full-time school librarian again,” said Roxanne. “Of the various positions I’ve held in education, librarian is probably my favorite!  I look forward to working both in person and virtually with other librarians around Wyoming.”

Linda Helzer will retire from her position as Library Specialist at the Natrona County Library after more than 15 years of service. Her last day will be February 6.

Linda began her career at the Library in August 2010 as a Circulation Clerk and Substitute Bookmobile Driver. In 2012, she transitioned to Tech Services, where her role became a true potpourri of daily responsibilities. Over the years, she also acted as the Volunteer Coordinator.

In addition to keeping the mailroom and periodicals running smoothly, Linda processed library materials for the collection, served as a backup for interlibrary loans, and stepped in to cover service desks whenever needed.

“I’ve enjoyed my 15 years at the Library,” said Linda. “My favorite responsibilities have been periodicals, acting as the Volunteer Coordinator, and copy cataloging. I will miss my coworkers and working with our patrons.”

“We’ll miss Linda’s dedication to our Library and community,” said Tech Services Manager Conrrado Saldivar. “Most importantly, we’ll miss her smile and her daily ‘Good morning!’ as staff walk into the building each day.”

In retirement, Linda looks forward to spending more time with her grandkids and returning to her passion for photography.
