Trustee Training Planned for Jan. 19 Before WLA Reception

Dec 14, 2016

Jerry Krois

The Wyoming State Library has a great face to face training opportunity coming up for library trustees on Thursday, Jan. 19 from 1-4:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Public Library at 2200 Pioneer Ave. in Cheyenne. It’s the same date as the Wyoming Library Association legislative reception, so plan to attend both.

Presenter Jerry Krois will focus on board leadership, board roles, policy governance, and other topics of interest. Krois was a long-time Wyoming Deputy State Librarian, a former director of the Eaton Public Library, Colo., and a 10-year member/chair of the Meridian Trust FCU Board.

Questions about the training may be directed to Brian Greene, WSL Library Development Office Manager, at brian.greene@wyo.gov or (307) 777-6339.

The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Wyoming State Library, 2800 Central Ave., Cheyenne. It’s a great opportunity to meet and mingle with Wyoming state legislators and top elected officials. It will be preceded by a 5 p.m. briefing on issues before the legislature that may affect libraries.
