AASL Seeks Webinar Proposals from School Librarians

Mar 10, 2016

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) invites school librarians looking to share best practices with their peers and subject matter experts to submit proposals for AASL eCOLLAB webinars. AASL seeks webinars 45-60 minutes in length to be presented/released between September 1 and December 31, 2016. Proposals may be submitted using the AASL Get Involved form.

Proposals should include up to three learning objectives and should address how the webinar subject matter supports AASL’s mission of empowering leaders to transform teaching and learning. Consideration will be given to submissions that demonstrate innovative thinking and/or new perspectives or present strategies for effectively implementing new ideas and technology. All webinar topics will be considered. AASL also seeks webinars on the following topics:

  • Makerspaces
  • STEM
  • Research Skills/information literacy
  • Inquiry
  • Emergent technology
  • Community Outreach/Advocacy
  • Collection development
  • Underserved populations
  • Collaboration/Co-teaching
  • Evidence-based practice

The AASL professional development advisory group will evaluate proposals for clarity, originality and timeliness. Questions about AASL eCOLLAB webinars can be sent to Jennifer Habley, AASL manager of web communications at jhabley@ala.org.
