Americans with Disabilities Act Day

This month marks the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law by President George W. Bush on July 26, 1990. The Americans with ADA prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in several areas, including employment, transportation, public accommodations, communications and access to state and local government’ programs and services.

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine has resources available to help you celebrate. Find them here.
