I Love My Librarian Award
DEADLINE: October 1, 2018
Encourages library users to recognize the accomplishments of exceptional public, school, college, community college, or university librarians. Each year 10 librarians are selected. Each librarian receives a $5,000 cash award, a plaque and a travel stipend to attend the awards ceremony and reception in New York City, hosted by Carnegie Corporation of New York.
Library Journal Librarian of the Year
DEADLINE: October 1, 2018
The LJ editors are seeking nominations for the 31st annual Library Journal Librarian of the Year Award to honor a professional librarian for outstanding achievement and accomplishments reflecting the loftiest service goals of the library profession. Any working professional librarian in any type of library anywhere in North America is eligible. “Professional” means a person in possession of a master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science and/or holding a position designated “professional” in a library or library service.

Foundation for Rural Service Grant Program
DEADLINE: September 15, 2018
The Foundation for Rural Service provides annual grants for communities served by NTCA members to support local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural America. Grants will be concentrated in four major areas: business development, community development, education, and telecommunications. Grants can range from $250 to $5,000.
Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Grants
DEADLINE: September 28, 2018
Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants fund improvements at public schools throughout the United States. Projects should fall into one of the following categories: technology updates, tools for STEM programs, or facility renovations and safety improvements. Grant requests can range from $2,000 to $100,000.
