Cary Dunlap

After over six years here at the Wyoming State Library, Marketing Lead Cary Dunlap is leaving our staff to be Webmaster for the City of Greeley. His last day at the WSL will be November 12. Cary joined us in June of 2015, coming to us from the Department of Education where he was Communications Director and Webmaster.

“It’s a great opportunity to work for my home city,” Cary said. “This has been a wonderful six years at the WSL — the time has simply flown by!”

While at the State Library, Cary completely redesigned the website, created numerous marketing materials, and relaunched The Outrider as a monthly e-newsletter. Among his favorite activities was representing Wyoming at the National Book Festival in Washington D.C. (during the non-virtual years).

“The best part of working at the WSL is easily all the great people I’ve been blessed to know,” he said. “ I want to give a shout out to Jamie Markus, who is the most supportive manager I’ve ever worked for.”

“Cary has been a valuable part of our team, and we appreciate all he’s done on behalf of not just us, but all our libraries across the state,” said Jamie Markus, Wyoming State Librarian. “We will miss him, and we wish him well in his next endeavor.”
