Celebrate National Readathon Day May 21

May 6, 2016

Readathon

Binge read. Marathon read. Find a comfy corner and read. The second annual National Readathon Day on Saturday, May 21, 2016, celebrates the joy of reading. Libraries can plan a party where readers can join together in person to celebrate  with some of the great programming ideas on the #Readathon2016 website.

Fremont County Library in Lander is signed up to host a reading party. People who come to hang out and read that day in the adult department will get a bag of books to take home in addition to free coffee. Teens will find bean bags out – it is already one of the busiest days of the year for them. The children’s department hand out bookmarks and offer special comfy places to sit and read as well.

There’s still time to get involved. Visit www.ReadathonDay.com to learn more.
