Culture Change: Coaching leaders to manage diverse teams join us as we discuss one of the most critical features of the building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive organization–developing and coaching cultural competence in your managers so they can lead and develop diverse teams. As we know all too well, there can be many advantages, as well as many challenges to managing diverse teams, and together we will unpack how to coach managers to maximize the opportunities and advantages inherent in leading diverse teams.

In this webinar we’ll learn common ransomware tactics to watch out for, ways to prevent and protect your organization, the importance of data and cybersecurity policies, and what to do in case of an attack.

Bolstering Family Involvement with Tools and Techniques to Advance Learners with Significant Disabilities (AbleNet)
This session will illustrate how to create an activity toolkit with adapted tools to share with families for follow-up reinforcement and practice at home besides aiding classroom instruction. Students with severe and multiple disabilities require multiple opportunities to practice academic, behavioral, and functional life skills and to generalize learning in a variety of contexts. Paired with techniques and tips, the activity toolkit will empower educators to guide families to continue with practicing the skills at home with their child to make sustained progress and retain the skills.

Empathizing with Teens in Trauma: An Exploration of the Terezin Ghetto/Camp (Programming Librarian)
Sometimes, you have an idea but realize you might not have the skill sets to accomplish it. This presentation will share how a team of teachers, a librarian, a social worker, and various outside groups in St. Marys Area Middle School combined their skills and worked together to help students expand their content knowledge of a topic they may not know about, deepen their research skills, and talk about mental health strategies. In this free, 60-minute webinar, we will hear from St. Marys Area Middle School (PA), winner of ALA’s 2022 Sara Jaffarian School Library Program Award for Exemplary Humanities Programming as they discuss their winning program and share tips for school library professionals interested in developing a similar program.
