Happy (almost) Leap Day!

Feb 28, 2024

It’s almost Leap Day! Have you ever wondered why we have an extra day every four years at the end of February?

Gone are the days of kids having to dust off the set of encyclopedias to find answers to their questions or do research for school assignments and projects. You can find out where Leap Year originated, as well as the answers to many other questions using the Wyoming State Library’s GoWYLD Kids K-8 Resources, which include multiple sources of reliable and educational information.

One such resource, Britannica School, offers information at three different levels: elementary, middle school, and high school. Leap on over to the WSL’s GoWYLD Kids K-8 Resources and find the answers you’re looking for!
