The Hot Springs County Library in Thermopolis, Wyoming, kicked off their summer with two special events for kids.
Thermopolis children said “goodbye” to school and “hello” to summer with a foam party on May 29. Bubbles filled the air, covered the grass, and provided fun, hypoallergenic entertainment for the HSCL’s youngest patrons and their families. The foam equipment was provided by Ann Lincoln Entertainment.
The HCSL also hosted Charlie Williams, also know as “The Noiseguy” at their summer reading kickoff event on Friday, June 7. Brightly colored tablecloths covered the tables which each held paper campfire centerpieces. The Noiseguy was dressed for a sound safari in a khaki colored shirt and hat. Outfitted with a microphone, a smile, and an healthy supply of self-created noises, Charlie entertained the audience and taught them about how sound words make stories come alive.
“He was excellent and the kids really enjoyed him!” said Kailey Dvorak, Youth Services Librarian at the HSCL.
The HSCL offers programs for patrons of all ages. Check out their website to find more information.
