Job Opening: Fremont County Library Director

Fremont County Library System, headquartered in Lander Wyoming, is currently searching for a Library Director. Successful candidates must have a passion for library services in a rural setting, bring budget expertise to guide a $2.2 million annual budget, and bring library experience to mentor managers and staff towards continued growth in technology and public service. Collaboration with county, state and national government and library agencies is an essential job skill. The system’s three libraries, located in Dubois, Lander, and Riverton, serve a population of 41,000 and the director will become the public face of the system. Humor, adaptability, diplomacy, and professional grace are necessary character traits.

Applicant will have the following qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited library program, and/or 5 or more years of progressively responsible public library experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary range is mid-$60,000s with a full benefit package.
