Job Opportunity: Big Horn County Library System Seeks New Director

The Big Horn County Library System is seeking applicants for the position of Library Director. This is a part-time position entailing 30 to 34 hours per week.

Headquartered in Basin with branches in Greybull, Lovell, Frannie, and Deaver, the Big Horn Library System is located in northwestern Wyoming near the Big Horn Mountains and Yellowstone National Park.

The new Director will serve a population of less than 12,000 residents and will administer the budget, staff, and physical facilities of the BHCLS, provide
highly responsible guidance, direction, and support to the BHCLS Board. Preferred candidates should demonstrate experience in mid- to upper-level management with
both staff and volunteers of up to 15 members.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Library Science Degree, Certification, or Equivalent Experience
  • 3-5 years minimum management experience
  • Excellent technology skills
  • Excellent workplace, organizational, personnel management, and customer service skills

Annual salary for this position will range from $36,000 to $42,000 and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits and health insurance are to be determined.
