KJ Hillgren has joined the Wyoming State Library’s (WSL) WYLD Office as their new Systems Librarian. She brings knowledge and experience from a variety of locations and positions, and her library and technical support background will be an asset to the WSL team.
KJ received her bachelor’s degree in Scandinavian Studies from the University of Washington and her IMLS degree from the University of Maryland. She has served as a youth librarian, a health sciences librarian at a medical school library, and in many other capacities throughout her career.
“I’m excited to return to providing services to those who work in public libraries,” said KJ. “I’m also looking forward to using my skills and the opportunity to expand my knowledge of SirsiDynix.”
Having grown up in Texas and living many different places including Hawaii, Alaska, and California, KJ is enjoying getting settled in Wyoming. She loves spending time exploring her new community with her dog, Moira Rose.
“I’m excited to welcome KJ to the WYLD Office and to introduce her to our amazing library community in Wyoming,” said Desiree Saunders, WYLD Program Manager. “Her experience working in a variety of libraries and support roles will be a valuable addition to our team. KJ will be assisting library staff with Aspen Discovery, MessageBee, and general SirsiDynix support.”
The Wyoming State Library welcomes KJ to our team, and is grateful for the knowledge, experience, and expertise she brings to the WSL staff.
