Even though the holiday is about the dead, it is meant to be joyful, a time to celebrate life and the lives of loved ones.

You can find out more about this by going to GoWYLD.net. Select High School (Gale in Context) from the Browse Databases by Title list.

Once you’re in the database, go to Browse Topics, World Culture and Religion. You’ll find a topic page on Day of the Dead. In Context Topic Pages include an overview and links to magazines and journals, critical essays, audio programs, and reference sources.
