Eight Wyoming libraries benefited from the 4th annual WyoGives, an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network.
WyoGives brings the state together as one community to raise awareness and funding for Wyoming’s nonprofits. This 24-hour online day-of-giving celebrates the work of organizations that provide essential services and build vibrant and healthy communities.
Among the more than 300 organizations participating were seven library foundations and a friends group who collectively raised $95,938 from 351 donors.
- Goshen County Library Foundation raised $53,695 from 129 donors.
- The Albany County Public Library Foundation, Inc. raised $16,285 from 69 donors.
- Laramie County Library Foundation raised $14,182 from 64 donors.
- Friends of the Sheridan County Library raised $5,915 from 30 donors.
- The Library Foundation Inc. (Campbell County Public Library System) raised $2,384 from 23 donors.
- Park County Library Foundation raised $1,852 from 19 donors.
- Sweetwater County Library Foundation raised $1,030 from 10 donors.
- Converse County Library Foundation raised $595 from 7 donors.
All eight organizations are eligible for matching funds from a $1 million fund provided by the Hughes Charitable Foundation, and $400,000 additional matching funds from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming and other organizations. This is a shared pool among all WyoGives participants, and match amounts have not yet been announced; donation totals above do not include matching funds.
