The Lovell Branch Library turned 100 years old this month! The library’s beginnings date back to October of 1922. All year, they’ve been celebrating this centennial with a float in the Lovell Days Parade, a birthday-themed summer reading program, and a patron appreciation lunch.
Their final celebration, a big birthday bash, was on Tuesday, October 11. Their goal was to get 500 patrons through our doors that day, and they were excited to have 601 as a final count. Throughout the day the library had entertainment from members of the community, door prizes, refreshments, a historical display, and an information table.
