Nancy Pearl speaks about the pleasures of reading to libraries, literacy organizations, and community groups throughout the world and comments on books regularly on NPR’s Morning Edition. She’s the author of the Book Lust and Book Crush books of reading recommendations. She initiated the “One Book” movement in 1998 in the Seattle Public Library with the community reading program, “If All Seattle Read the Same Book.”Among her many honors, Library Journal named her their 2011 Librarian of the Year.
