From Wyoming Places, People and Things

Mammoth Hot Springs

In 1890, Carter H. Harrison traveled through the midwestern and western parts of the United States. Accounts of his travels were published in the “Chicago Tribune” and compiled in a book titled “A Summer’s Outing and the Old Man’s Story.” On July 17, 1890, he reached the Mammoth Hot Springs of Yellowstone National Park. He explored and wrote about the park for about ten days.
