The Wyoming Weekly Republican of July 9, 1890 reported that 50,000 horses were to be purchased in the west for use by the British Cavalry. Malcom Moncreiffe of Big Horn, Wyoming in Sheridan County raised thousands of horses for the British Cavalry.
