The Park County Library is thrilled to announce a significant addition to its facilities: the brand-new Moose Meeting Room. This exciting development is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Cody Library group.

A Vision Realized

The idea for the Moose Meeting Room was born out of the library’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community. Karen, Director of Park County Libraries, and Nicholle, Assistant Director of Park County Libraries, recognized the growing demand for more private meeting areas within the library. Their vision for a versatile, private meeting space became a reality when they approached the Friends of the Cody Library group for support. The Friends enthusiastically embraced the project, contributing $10,000 towards its realization.

A Modern and Versatile Space

The Moose Meeting Room is not just your ordinary meeting space. It is a modular pod designed to accommodate a variety of needs. The room features:

  • Seating for four, offering a comfortable and collaborative environment.
  • An occupancy sensor that ensures energy efficiency throughout the day.
  • Ultra-quiet ventilation, with silent fans in the roof and air inlets behind the sofas to maintain fresh air circulation.
  • A built-in Powerbox that keeps cables in place and ensures devices stay charged.
  • Sustainable soundproof construction made from recycled PET, engineered to reduce office noise by an impressive 30 decibels.

This modern and eco-friendly meeting room is a testament to the library’s commitment to providing innovative spaces for its patrons.
