Registration is open for the inaugural ThriveLib: Reclaiming Joy, Balance, and Boundaries in Libraries, taking place August 12–14, 2025. This fully virtual conference is the first of its kind to center the well-being of library workers, not patrons.
Library workers across all types and roles are navigating burnout, blurred boundaries, and shrinking resources, all while continuing to serve their communities with care. ThriveLib was created to acknowledge these challenges and offer a space to reflect, reconnect, and reimagine a healthier path forward, together.
This conference is for frontline staff, middle managers, directors, and anyone who believes that sustainable, compassionate library work is not only possible but necessary.
Participants can expect:
- Keynotes, panels, and interactive sessions on topics like burnout, psychological safety, disability justice, inclusive leadership, and setting boundaries
- All sessions are recorded and available for 30 days after the event
- Certificates of attendance to support CE requirements
- A space that prioritizes people over productivity
ThriveLib offers three ticket tiers:
- Subsidized: For LIS students and library workers who are unemployed or underemployed. No documentation required. $75
- Standard: The regular rate, supporting event operations and speaker compensation. $100
- Pay It Forward: A higher tier for those who can help offset the cost for others. Your generosity makes a big impact. $125
All ticket tiers include access to live sessions, recordings for 30 days, and a certificate of attendance.
