Two Opportunities for Greater Involvement With WLA

Wyoming Library Association mountains logoAre you a member of the Wyoming Library Association? The organization has two great opportunities to become more involved.

The WLA EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Committee is looking for additional volunteers to join their team. Time commitment is one monthly meeting when the members can meet, with additional special projects that may take 1-5+ hours. Contact Eva Dahlgren at edahlgren@tclib.org if you’re interested.

The School Library Interest Group is recruiting new members. The mission of SLIG is to network, encourage, and disseminate information helpful to the school library community in Wyoming. Interest group members meet annually at conference and communicate regularly during the rest of the year. If you’re a school librarian or have an interest in topics related to the field, consider adding a $10 membership to SLIG to your account at www.wyla.org.

As always, be sure to sign up for the email lists relevant to the interest groups you have included in your membership, as well as to the general membership list. You do have to subscribe to the lists you wish to receive. Don’t miss out on important information regarding your WLA membership and interests!

Contact Conrrado Saldivar (conrrado.saldivar@wyo.gov), Darcy Acord (Darcy.Acord@campbellcountywy.gov), or Katrina Brown (katrina.brown@caspercollege.edu) if you have any questions, would like to learn more about WLA, or just want to chat.
