From the American Library Association
The Public Library Association (PLA) has just opened a contest for two library professionals or library students to win their way to the PLA 2016 Conference, April 5-9, in Denver. The contest requires participants to submit a 60-second (or less) video telling PLA about them, their library and, most importantly, why they want to attend the PLA 2016 Conference and how it will help them to “be extraordinary.” Submissions will be judged based on clear, compelling and creative video statements. The top six videos (determined by PLA) will be posted to the PLA Facebook page for voting. Two winners will receive a free registration, four nights hotel and up to $500 reimbursement for travel to and from the conference.
The deadline to submit a video is 3:30 PM Mountain, Wednesday, November 11. Learn more at www.placonference.org/#video-contest.
