WLA Committee Launching Lunch-N-Learn to Address EDI Topics

Stack of wooden blocks read, "Equity, Diversity, Inclusion"The Wyoming Library Association’s Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) Committee is launching a Lunch-N-Learn series in February, March, and April of 2023 for all interested Wyoming library staff.

Each month’s series will address a different topic. Sessions will be held on Zoom for two consecutive Mondays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. All series will be recorded and available for a limited time to registrants.

Upcoming Series

  • February 6 and 13: Disability Inclusion (Register here.)
  • March 6 and 13: Understanding Gender and Gender Diversity
  • April 3 and 10: Implicit Bias

Disability Inclusion series

The first training, Disability Inclusion, will be facilitated by Wyoming-based non-profit, Cultivate Ability. The first week covers: what is disability, disability history, importance of inclusion, disability etiquette and communication. The second week addresses disability stereotypes, averting ableism and creating allyship goals. Additional resources are available on the Cultivate Ability website.
