The 2023 Wyoming Library Association Legislative Reception drew quite the crowd in its new location at the Laramie County Library in Cheyenne. About 35 state legislators attended as well as the State Auditor, State Treasurer, and State Superintendent of Public Instruction. More than 60 librarians and library workers from across the state were there, offering a potluck feast. Also in attendance were legislators’ spouses, aides, and partner organization representatives.

WLA’s members put on a feast to welcome them — there were 20 crockpots! The annual Legislative Reception is an opportunity for those working in libraries to meet and mingle with their elected representatives and discuss issues and legislation of concern to the library community.
