WLLI participants included library professionals from across Wyoming.

A group of motivated library professionals, including the Wyoming State Library’s Collections Technician, Savannah Parris, took part in the Wyoming Library Leadership Institute (WLLI) in Pinedale, Wyoming, September 16-18, 2024.

“It was exciting and fun,” said Savannah. “I would highly recommend it.”

The WLLI experience included leadership sessions about communication best practices and how to reconcile your intentions with others’ perceptions of your words and actions; a True Colors personality profile, debrief, and activities; and a healthy dose of networking with fellow library professionals from across Wyoming. The cohort also toured the Sublette County Library.

WLLI is a program of the Wyoming Library Association and has provided opportunities for learning, mentoring and developing leadership skills to both degreed and non-degreed library professionals, promoting the personal and professional growth of the Wyoming library community since 2001.
