The Wyoming State Library’s mission is to “promote statewide library development, foster library cooperation, and provide reliable information to our customers.” The State Library recently updated its strategic plan that guides how this is accomplished. The new plan is for FY2023-2025.
“Wyoming State Library Strategic Plan: Who We Are, What We Do, and Where We’re Going” outlines the primary purpose, duties, and goals for each of the five work units housed in the agency:
- Business & Acquisitions
- Information Services
- Library Development
- Marketing
- WYLD Support
The WSL staff is always available and ready to assist our colleagues in the Wyoming library community. If you have a question, concern, or anything else we may help you with, either find a specific contact in our Staff & Department Directory or contact our main desk at (307) 777-6333 or statelibrary@wyo.gov and they will direct you to the right person.
By statute, the Wyoming State Library serves as the state publications depository, manages federal library funds, and is responsible for the extension and development of library services throughout Wyoming. The WSL is a division of the Wyoming Department of Administration & Information.
