The Wyoming Library Association (WLA), in partnership with the Wyoming State Literacy Association (WSLA), has announced the winners of the 2025–2026 Wyoming State Book Awards.The winning titles for each category are:
Buckaroo Award (Grades K–3)
- Winner: The Wrong Book by Drew Daywalt
- Runner-Up: Luigi the Spider Who Wanted to Be a Kitten by Michelle Knudsen
- 3rd Place: The Last Zookeeper by Aaron Becker
Indian Paintbrush Award (Grades 4–6)
- Winner: Wild River by Rodman Philbrick
- Runner-Up: Two Degrees by Alan Gratz
- 3rd Place: Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell
Soaring Eagle Award (Grades 7–12)
- Winner: That’s Not My Name by Megan Lally
- Runner-Up: The Hope of Elephants by Amanda Rawson Hill
- 3rd Place: Gallant by V. E. Schwab
