Laramie County Library patrons had the opportunity to zoom in on some animals from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The LCLS location in Cheyenne hosted a ZOOmobile event on Friday, June 14. One session was held 10:15-11:15 a.m. with another 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
It was a full house in the LCLS Cottonwood Room with over 600 Laramie County patrons attending the event. Attendees learned about the diversity of the animal kingdom and explored the diversity of the different classes within it including amphibians, mammals, reptiles, and more.
“It was so much fun! The lizard they brought had a smile on his face the whole time,” said the event’s coordinator, Lauren Johnson, the LCLS’s Youth Services Librarian.
The Laramie County Library System has locations in Cheyenne, Burns, and Pine Bluffs, all of which host events for patrons of all ages. Find out more on their events calendar.
