Applications Open for Geography and Map Division Fellowships at the Library of Congress

Are you interested in maps, geoscience, cartographic history, or digital humanities?

Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Philip Lee Phillips Society Fellowships at the Library of Congress. Two qualified scholars will be funded with a stipend of $11,500 for an eight-week residency at the LOC’s Geography and Map Division. Fellows will be required to use materials from the LOC’s collections for research in the history of cartography, Geographic Information Science (GIS), digital humanities, or a related field. An additional honorarium of $2,000 for a lecture and publication may be offered, as well.
