Established in 1963, this award from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) recognizes school libraries as an unique and essential part of their learning community. NSLY honors school libraries exemplifying implementation of AASL’s National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries. Monetary prize: $10,000.

Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education

Want to attend a conference or workshop to build your library skills? Take an online course? Start working toward that library media specialist endorsement or master’s degree in library science? Funds are available to those working or volunteering in Wyoming libraries through the Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education. Applications are accepted six times during the year. The next deadline is September 30 for continuing education events starting no earlier than November 1.
Carnegie-Whitney Grant

The American Library Association Publishing Committee provides grants of up to $5,000 for the preparation of print or electronic reading lists, indexes or other guides to library resources that promote reading or the use of library resources at any type of library.
