Celebrate Indigenous People’s Day and Native American Heritage Month

Oct 14, 2024

Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October each year, with Native American Heritage Month just a couple of weeks later in November. What better way to celebrate than learning more about the rich histories and cultures of the United States’ indigenous peoples? Several resources exist on GoWyld.net and elsewhere, including the Wyoming State Library’s (WSL) Wyoming History subject guide, the various databases included in the WSL’s Student Research subject guide, and Indigenous Histories and Cultures in North America database, provided by the University of Wyoming Libraries. It’s always a good day to use these great resources to expand your knowledge and learn more about the history of our state and all of the people who have lived here both now and in the past.
