Happy National Bookmobile Day 2020! Today, April 22, we celebrate our nation’s bookmobiles and the dedicated library professionals who provide this valuable and essential service to their communities every day. This event is held each year on the Wednesday of National Library Week.

Two Wyoming libraries offer bookmobile services: Natrona County Library and Laramie County Library System.

The Association of Bookmobile and Outreach Services (ABOS) is having a virtual bookmobile parade to celebrate. (And who doesn’t love a parade?) Visit the ABOS Facebook page to see it.

National Bookmobile Day is coordinated by the ABOS, the ALA Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services, and the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL).
