The Wyoming Library Leadership Institute (WLLI) is seeking volunteers to put together and donate gift baskets for the basket raffle at the Wyoming Library Association Conference. This beloved annual event was put on hold during the virtual conferences the last two years, but it’s back for the first time since 2019. This is a major fundraiser for WLLI and supports the good work the institute does to foster leadership in Wyoming.

Each basket should have a theme and be composed of items donated to the cause. Collaborate with your co-workers on this one and get creative! The baskets will be raffled off at the conference in Casper on September 30. All proceeds will benefit the WLLI. When your basket is complete, send a picture to Jessica Otto at jessica.otto@wyo.gov to show it off on the WLA Facebook page!

Tickets may be purchased via cash or check (sorry, no credit or debit cards!) throughout the conference at the cost of $1 each, $5 for 6, or $20 for 25. There’s an ATM at the conference hotel if you need one during the event. Pro Tip: Bring mailing labels with your contact info to stick on the back of tickets instead of having to write it all!

Winners are not required to be present, but must have a representative able to claim their basket for them at the time of the raffle. Baskets cannot be shipped.

Besides (or in addition to) basket building, you can contribute to the cause by signing up to work the basket tables and sell tickets. To donate a basket, volunteer your time, or get more information, contact Johanna Tuttle at Johanna.Tuttle@campbellcountywy.gov or Jessica Otto at jessica.otto@wyo.gov.
