The Cheyenne 4H Robotics Club has participated in previous Cyber-in-a-Box Challenges.
Teachers and school librarians, it’s time to register for the 2027 Cyber-in-a-Box School Video Challenge! Next year’s challenge topic is “Exploring AI and Data Privacy.”
Problem: Cybersecurity is a community issue. In 2025, Wyoming citizens reported losses of over $25 million dollars (FBI Internet Crimes Complaint Center) for less than 600,000 people in the state. These losses are for our communities and we need to have conversations about being more security aware. When families discuss the wireless router’s password at the dinner table, we will know we have been successful. Let’s start the Security Conversation, Wyoming!
Solution: Cyber-in-a-Box School Video Challenge
The Cyber-in-a-Box library program was developed by the Wyoming CAN (Cybersecurity Action Network) Committee and implemented by the CyberWyoming Alliance and the Wyoming State Library, both members of the CAN committee.
Last year’s School Video Challenge student videos were amazing! You can find a link to more information and a video from last year’s competition on the Wyoming State Library’s website. Students learned staging, producing, directing, animation, acting, script writing, research techniques, and, of course, about a security topic. Teachers (or parent sponsors) receive $50-100 for supplies (or pizza). Teams of up to 5 receive mystery giveaways for the Cyber-in-a-Box School Video Challenge.
