Final 2016 Letters About Literature Deadline One Week Away

Jan 4, 2016

LAL How to Enter

The final deadline for Letters About Literature is only one week away, and we’d love to see more great entries from Wyoming. Postmark deadline for students in grades 4-8 is Monday, January 11, 2016. (The deadline for high school entries has passed.)

Prizes will be awarded at both the state and national levels. Please encourage your students or the tweens and younger teens you work with in your library to participate.

Letters About Literature invites students to “Read. Be inspired. Write back.” They pick a book that inspired them or changed their life and write back to the author (living or dead) about it. More information, including guidelines and a teaching guide, are available at www.wyominglibraries.org/read-be-inspired-write-back.html.

Letters About Literature is a project of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. The Wyoming State Library is coordinating Wyoming’s participation.
