Free Webinar-NOAA IR Implementing Public Access

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Institutional Repository (IR) will host a free webinar “NOAA IR Implementing Public Access” on Thursday, June 13, 12:00-1:00 p.m. (MDT). Recording and closed captioning are available.

Join NOAA in learning about their response and implementation of public access mandates, including the NOAA Institutional Repository’s system and searching functionalities for researchers. Participants will learn how to search our collections, how persistent identifiers are being incorporated into NOAA’s plans, and how NOAA is increasing public access above and beyond new Office of Science Technology Policy (OSTP) guidance.

Prior to the webinar:

For those participating via a desktop or laptop computer (preferred method), a WebEx plug-in must be installed (one-time only). Download instructions<http://login.icohere.com/help/help_1/webEx/guide_WebEx_pop.htm>. Some features will not be available for users participating with a tablet or smartphone. Devices need to have a WebEx app installed from the device’s app store, which may take time. After installation, the app will ask for you to Allow or Deny permissions.
