German Language Day

Sep 14, 2024

“Willkommen” means “welcome” in the German language.

Kannst du Deutsch sprechen? (Can you speak German?) Even if you can’t, if you are an English-speaker, you speak a language that shares many grammatical and syntactic features of German and other Germanic languages!

September 14 is German Language Day. If you know German, it’s a great day to teach a new word to a friend or family member. If you don’t, take this great opportunity to learn a new language using Pronunciator, a free language learning e-learning platform on GoWYLD.net. This fun and helpful tool is free to use with your Wyoming library card.

Find out more about Pronunciator in this blog post.
