DEADLINE: February 10, 2023
Funding will be provided to 160 programs to install new or improve existing youth gardens or greenspaces. Nonprofit organizations, school districts, universities, government entities, and other tax-exempt organizations in the United States and its territories that serve at least 15 youth are eligible to apply.

Carol McMurry Library Endowment Grants to Libraries
DEADLINE: March 15, 2023
These grants provide support to Wyoming librarians and publicly accessible Wyoming libraries in three areas: education and training, library resources, and library foundation development. Two grant deadlines annually in March and September. Rocky Mountain Power Foundation Grants
DEADLINE: March 15, 2023
Education/STEM grants for priorities that include higher education institutions, K-12, literacy and reading programs, STEM education initiatives, teacher/professional educator development, workforce development/careers and employability, and youth development.. Grants generally are less than $10,000 with most between $2,000 and $5,000.

Great Stories Club Grants
DEADLINE: March 15, 2023
Great Stories Club is a thematic reading and discussion program that engages teens who are facing difficult challenges through literature-based library outreach programs. Selected libraries will receive 11 paperback copies of theme-related books to use in the reading and discussion groups as well as a $500 programming stipend, online training, an array of program resources and support throughout the grant term. Great Stories Club resources are available to everyone, even without a grant.

AARP Community Challenge Grants
DEADLINE: March 15, 2023
The AARP Community Challenge provides small grants to fund quick-action projects that can help communities become more livable for people of all ages. Applicants will be notified of their status by mid-May, and projects must be completed by November 30. A public Q&A webinar will be held February 8 — register here. to attend.

National Book Fund Grants for Educational Materials
DEADLINE: March 15, 2023
The National Book Fund provides adult/teen literacy and basic education programs with educational materials to help teach adults and teens to read. Grants are made in the form of New Readers Press materials requested in the grant proposal and typically average from $500 to $2,000, although greater or lesser funding amounts are considered.

John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Award
DEADLINE: March 17, 2023
The John Cotton Dana Award is one of the most prestigious awards given to up to eight libraries. The $10,000 awards will be provided by the H.W. Wilson Foundation and honors outstanding library public relations. Libraries of all types and sizes are encouraged to submit. Entries may be submitted by any library, Friends group, consulting agency or service provider, unless they are represented on the JCD committee.

SRMA Archives Fellowship Pilot Program
DEADLINE: March 26, 2023
The Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists (SRMA) is offering a stipend of up to $6,000 for early professionals to participate in their Archives Fellowship Pilot Program. This program is intended to allow early career professionals from underrepresented and marginalized communities to gain experience while also being paid appropriately for their work. Individuals and host organizations must apply jointly. SRMA offers a spreadsheet where interested individuals and organizations can share information and find partners.

Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education
DEADLINE: March 31, 2023
Want to attend a conference or workshop to build your library skills? Take an online course? Start working toward that library media specialist endorsement or master’s degree in library science? Funds are available to those working or volunteering in Wyoming libraries through the Carol McMurry Library Endowment Individual Grants for Continuing Education. Applications are accepted six times during the year. The next deadline is March 31, 2023, for continuing education events starting no earlier than May 1, 2023.

Cultural and Community Resilience Program
OPTIONAL DRAFT DUE: April 11, 2023
DEADLINE: May 16, 2023
National Endowment for the Humanities grants support community-based efforts to mitigate climate change and COVID-19 pandemic impacts, safeguard cultural resources, and foster cultural resilience through identifying, documenting, and/or collecting cultural heritage and community experience.

National Endowment for the Arts Challenge America Grants
DEADLINE: April 27, 2023
Challenge America offers grants at a set amount of $10,000 primarily to small organizations for projects in all artistic disciplines that extend the reach of the arts to groups/communities with rich and dynamic artistic and cultural contributions to share that are underserved. Grants require a cost share/match of $10,000 consisting of cash and/or in-kind contributions.

Sara Jaffarian School Library Program Award
DEADLINE: May 5, 2023
School librarians are invited to apply for a $5,000 award recognizing outstanding humanities programming in kindergarten through eighth grade. U.S. school libraries, public or private, that serve children in any combination of grades K-8 are eligible, provided the library is staffed by a state-certified librarian. Libraries are encouraged to self-nominate. Nominated programs must have taken place during the current school year. Programs that are still in progress as of the award deadline are eligible.
