Young Future’s The Unwritten Challenge will distribute a minimum of $1 million in grants across 10+ organizations, with individual awards ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.
AI is changing how young people tackle problems, ask questions and make sense of the world. But growing into an independent thinker still takes practice: working through a difficult idea, questioning an answer and making a decision you can call your own.
This challenge supports solutions that protect and strengthen those opportunities for young people ages 10-19. We’re looking for work that builds learning, critical thinking and healthy decision-making in classrooms, homes, after-school programs and the everyday spaces where growing up happens.
Solutions do not need to use AI. They do need to address how young people develop these essential skills in a world increasingly shaped by it.
