Jun 30, 2025

Happy (almost) Independence Day from the Wyoming State Library (WSL)! The WSL will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We hope you have a wonderful day with your friends and family celebrating our country’s independence!

Are you looking for fun, educational, and entertaining resources to help you teach your kids about the Declaration of Independence? Look no further than BookFlix on GoWYLD.net. This amazing resource includes paired texts about a variety of subjects, including the United State’s Declaration of Independence from England in 1776.  Titles include an animated video of the book John, Paul, George, and Ben by Lane Smith, as well as the informational e-book, Benjamin Franklin by Wil Mara.

For more advanced students, Gale in Context’s U.S. History database offers an event guide that includes articles, biographies, images, and more that pertain to the Declaration of Independence.

Celebrate the U.S.’s 249th birthday with the WSL’s GoWYLD.net!
