International Literacy Day 2024

Aug 16, 2024

International Literacy Day will be celebrated in just a few weeks and serves as an annual reminder that literacy is a human right for all.

The theme for ILD2024 will be “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace.” Although the official International Literacy Day is September 8, a global conference and live celebration will take place on September 9 and 10 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, however, people all over the world can celebrate both online and on a smaller scale in their own communities.
