Job Opening: Albany County Public Library Director

Albany County Public Library, based in Laramie, Wyoming, seeks highly qualified applicants for the position of Library Director. Albany County Public Library has three branch locations in Laramie, Rock River, and Centennial. The public library acts as a community hub by sharing access to a diverse collection, providing quality education and cultural opportunities, and offering vibrant community outreach.

Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the Library Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Library operations to efficiently and effectively serve public needs. The Library Director will develop and passionately lead the vision and direction of the library. The successful applicant will manage an annual budget in excess of $1 million; set positive workplace culture through empowerment and accountability of staff; and create mutually beneficial partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking candidate with strong leadership and communication skills and progressively responsible library service.
