The Lincoln County Library System has a position vacancy for Library Director/Branch Manager. This is a full-time position located in Kemmerer, Wyoming.
Lincoln County encompasses 4,095 square miles and has a population of 18,722. Kemmerer is the county seat and has approximately 3,500 people. It is located in the southwest corner of Wyoming, and is a high desert (6,949 feet above sea level). If you enjoy the outdoors, lots of room to roam, no traffic, lots of sunshine and do not mind long snowy winters, it might be a place for you. The closest larger city would be Salt Lake City, UT and that is located 120 miles away. Kemmerer has several small locally owned businesses, but there are no malls or shopping centers.
This position has dual roles. You are the Branch Manager of the Lincoln County Library and Director over the library system. Responsibilities include supervision of five branch librarians, as well as the library system staff and the headquarters library staff; budgeting; collection management; planning; community outreach; and management of the Library Foundation. As part of your job, you are expected to travel to each of the five branch libraries once a month/as needed. The furthest library is 130 miles away and the closest is 45. There are also several state wide & regional meetings/conferences that you are required to attend, which will require overnight(s) stays. A good dependable vehicle is necessary.

Qualifications: Masters in Library Science and library experience or Bachelor’s Degree with at least three to five years library experience including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Salary range is $52,000 – $56,000. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. FLSA: Exempt
